Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Mettlevouch collects through this site, why, who sees it and what your rights are.
Who we are
Quantum Software Technologies Ltd, company number 14209581, 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX ("we", "us") is the controller of personal data collected through this site. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
- Form details: first name, last name, email address and telephone number.
- Technical details: your IP address, the country your connection appears to come from, the page you used the form on and the time.
- Consent records: the wording version you agreed to, when you ticked the box, and a hashed version of your IP address and email address.
- Analytics data, only if you accept analytics cookies.
We do not ask for passwords, card numbers or identity documents on this site.
Why we use it, and our basis
- To keep you on our list and pass your details to the executing broker for your country so it can contact you about an account. Our basis is your consent.
- To keep a record that you consented. Our basis is our legal obligation and legitimate interest in being able to show what you agreed to.
- To protect the site from abuse, such as repeated automated submissions. Our basis is legitimate interest.
- To understand how the site is used, if you accept analytics. Our basis is your consent.
Who sees your data
With your consent we share your name, email, phone number and IP address with the executing broker for your country. The broker then becomes responsible for its own use of that data under its own privacy notice. Our hosting and customer-management providers handle data for us under our instructions. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while you are on the list. If you withdraw consent or ask us to delete your data, we delete it from our customer-management system, apart from the minimal consent record we need to evidence what you agreed to or that the law requires us to keep.
Security
The site is served over TLS 1.3. IP addresses in our consent records are hashed with a secret value. Access to stored data is limited to the people who need it. No system can be made completely immune to attack, so we collect only what we need.
Transfers outside the UK
If a provider processes data outside the United Kingdom, we use the safeguards the law requires. Ask us if you want details.
Your rights
You may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or move it. You may withdraw consent at any time, and opt out of calls, by emailing [email protected]. Withdrawing does not affect what we did before. If you are unhappy with how we handle data, tell us first. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator.
Cookies and similar storage
We use browser storage that the site needs to work, such as remembering your cookie choice and, briefly, a flag that smooths the page transition. These do not track you.
With your permission through the "Accept analytics" button we also load Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It is not loaded if you choose "Essential only". We use no advertising cookies. If you accept analytics we also show a live market ticker supplied by TradingView. It loads from TradingView's servers and may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer.
Calls and email
If you sign up we may email or phone you about opening an account. We do not send marketing about unrelated products. You can opt out of calls, or of all contact, at any time by emailing us, and we will note your choice against your record.
Data we receive from others
We collect data directly from you through the form. We do not buy lists and we do not add data about you from other sources.
Backups and records
Data deleted from our live systems may remain for a short time in backups before it is overwritten. We do not use it for any other purpose while it remains there.
If something goes wrong
If we learn of a breach that is likely to put your rights at risk, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires, and we will say what happened and what you can do.
Links to other sites
This site links to other websites. They have their own privacy notices, and we do not control them.
Children
This site is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will change the consent version on our forms so that you are asked again.
